Marketing/Branding Responsibilities:
Donor Management
- Develop, maintain and optimise a structured donor database, categorised by donor type (corporate/individual, active/passive, lapsed etc).
- Serve as the main liaison for donor communication, ensuring consistent engagement and follow-up coordination.
- Proactively seek and grow new corporate donor partnerships; initiate and execute programmes to drive corporate funding.
- Engage existing top corporate donors to foster long-term support.
- Generate monthly donor reports, segmented by donor category and engagement levels.
Fundraising Activity & Grant Management
- Lead annual budget planning and forecasting of fundraising activities and calendar of events.
- Plan, organise and execute fundraising campaigns and initiatives in alignment with SOSD’s mission.
- Identify suitable grant opportunities from government, foundations, or private bodies; prepare and submit grant applications in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with internal teams to produce publicity and campaign materials across media platforms.
- Track and report on fundraising project timelines, progress, and key milestones using project trackers and tools.
- Oversee logistics and compliance of both in-person and virtual fundraising events.
- Drive and expand the Sponsor-A-Dog programme to increase long-term recurring donations.
- Create profit and loss (P&L) reports for individual fundraising campaigns and events.
Governance and Operational Excellence
- Adhere to and enforce SOSD’s Fundraising SOPs, ensuring all partners and vendors are reputable and compliant.
- Continuously review internal fundraising workflows, proposing and implementing improvements.
- Ensure consistent use of project management tools and adherence to agreed workflows.
Volunteer Management
- Manage and coordinate a team of fundraising volunteers, including recruitment and onboarding of new members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Outreach and Shelter teams to facilitate corporate tours, donor visits, and presentations. Support merchandise sales operations with the Outreach team and Finance team, managing backend tasks such as charity portal licensing and sales reporting (both online and on-site).
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in marketing and event management
- Experience in raising funds for non-profit organizations will be considered favorably
- Degree or diploma in business or marketing is preferred
- Strong presentation skills with a flair for writing and good in creating PowerPoint presentation slides
- Direct marketing experience will be an added advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Independent worker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and cross-departmental teams
