Key Responsibilities
- Source and secure vessels for spot and time charters aligned with business needs.
- Negotiate charter terms and finalise contracts, ensuring compliance and risk management.
- Develop chartering strategies based on market insights and company goals.
- Manage relationships with cargo owners, shipowners, brokers, and charterers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support charter execution and monitor performance.
- Track market trends and fixture data, providing commercial insights and reporting to leadership.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of chartering experience, ideally within the container liner shipping sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Shipping, Business, or related discipline.
- Proven success in charter negotiations, with sound knowledge of vessel specs and market pricing.
- Strong commercial acumen, with P&L experience and decision-making ability.
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management and reporting skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
