Job Purpose
The role is to perform review and analysis of financial data of the Operating Units and Group for management reporting and providing support to line managers within the department and participate in a key Finance Transformation initiative as a model builder.
Overview of Job Scope and Responsibilities
- Review and analysis of management accounts for monthly, forecast and budget reporting.
- Ensure timely provision of accurate financial data of the Group and preparation of Group management reports.
- Region level coordination and liaison on financial planning and analysis matters.
- Participate in finance transformation projects as a model builder to implement and refine Anaplan models.
- Develop and deliver proactively Finance strategies and recommending action plan that contribute to the achievement of the corporate strategy and operational objectives of the Group. Participate in feasibility studies and submit recommendations on new projects so as to support management decision processes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Management Reporting, including Forecast and Budget (50%)
- Coordinate with region to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and analyze the financial reports of reporting entities and region which include liaison with region and reporting entities to understand operating variances and business environment.
- Prepare analysis schedules to facilitate review of financials.
- Assist in preparation of management reports and presentation materials.
- Assist and provide financial support for project feasibility review and assessment.
- Benchmarking analysis and data collation of port and terminal statistics. Active involvement to seek continuous process improvement.
Finance transformation (50%)
PSA Group's Finance Transformation program entails several initiatives within the Finance function domain and requires a strong global governance and alignment, together with hands-on and committed local implementation and engagement.
- Serve as the internal model builder, part of the global model builder team.
- Collaborate closely with other model builders and external consultants to learn technical Anaplan skills quickly and to gain independence in model building for implementation.
- Participate in project implementation and responsible for the continuous refinement.
- Actively source and propose process improvements and product refinement for rollout.
Experience
- Graduate with 3-4 years of working experience, with experience in Financial Analysis or Group Financial Consolidation being an added advantage.
- Work well under pressure and tight reporting timelines, independently and in a team.
- Good communication skills and enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Self-motivate and embrace team work.
- Possess critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong in Microsoft Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
- Good knowledge of IFRS.
