Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and departure and assist with their luggage.
- Collaborate closely with the Front Office team to provide courteous and efficient service to guests.
- Establish rapport with in-house and long-staying guests, offering assistance as needed.
- Respond efficiently and tactfully to guests’ requests and enquiries, including information about hotel facilities and services, as well as general information beyond the hotel (e.g. local attractions, transportation options, dining recommendations, etc.).
- Manage guest baggage storage, as well as the delivery of parcels and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records by updating the movements log for all porter duties, including delivery of luggage, parcels to guest rooms, and baggage stored or retrieved.
- Ensure the lobby, driveway, and luggage storage areas are kept clean and presentable at all times.
- Stay informed about the day’s events within the hotel and assist guests or visitors with directions and relevant information as required.
- Oversee and maintain smooth traffic flow at the hotel driveway.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors, carrying them out diligently and professionally.
