We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Steward/Stewardess to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of guestrooms and surrounding areas in accordance with hotel standards. You will help ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service occupied and vacant guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Make beds, change bed linen, vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and clean bathrooms.
- Restock guest amenities such as toiletries, towels, drinking glasses, and stationery.
- Report any room defects, maintenance issues, or discrepancies to Housekeeping Office.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks such as high dusting, window cleaning, curtain changes, and tile scrubbing.
- Prepare and arrange housekeeping cart neatly each day before starting room cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of assigned guestrooms, corridors, and housekeeping cart.
- Ensure equipment (vacuum, supply carts) is in good working condition.
- Submit daily Room Assignment Reports.
- Assist guests with in-room requests (e.g., additional amenities, adapters, hairdryers).
- Check and report room and occupant status, including minibar and laundry checks.
- Remove soiled linen from rooms and stack for collection.
- Report lost and found items promptly to Housekeeping Office.
- Support recycling and waste management efforts by separating recyclable items from guest rooms.
- Follow hotel safety, fire, and security protocols at all times.
- Assist with periodic linen inventory as needed.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Room Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, or Executive Housekeeper.
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform manual and repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Friendly and professional attitude when interacting with guests.
- Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel is an advantage but not required.
