As a full-time Logistics Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s procurement, supply chain, and transportation operations. This position is based in Singapore and involves overseeing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of the company’s products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Logistics in overseeing daily logistics and warehouse operations.
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day tasks of the logistics team, including assigning duties to the Logistics Officer.
- Provide team members with clear guidance, training, and instructions to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee and ensure timely execution of the Sales Cycle, Return Cycle, and Purchase Cycle processes.
- Monitor and report on product expiry and short shelf-life items on a weekly basis.
- Track daily inventory levels and highlight any discrepancies or stock issues.
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on production schedules to ensure timely output.
- Arrange and manage daily delivery schedules for customer orders.
- Keep the team updated on all incoming shipments and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and MY Office for delivery bookings, container shipments, pickups, and arrivals.
- Follow up on incoming goods and ensure timely receipt.
- Identify and report any inconsistencies or issues with incoming shipments and work towards resolution.
- Provide daily reports on order status, production progress, warehouse operations, and logistics activities.
- Liaise with warehouse staff regarding special packing requirements as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and logistics data.
- Support general office administration tasks related to logistics and shipping when required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in logistics, shipping, or chemical trading.
- Familiar with inventory, sales, return, and purchase cycles.
- Hands-on experience in shipping container booking and coordination with freight forwarders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Experience in chemical industry logistics is an added advantage.
