Manager, Segment Profit Centre - Retail & Motor
Job Description
- Primarily responsible for the profitable growth and development of the Retail, Motor business, Corporate Group Personal Accident (GPA) and Group Business Travel (GBT) The primary role comprises of underwriting, product and proposition development
- Retail business refers to all personal lines classes including Home, PA, Travel excluding Motor
- Identify target customers segments and development new products for targeted segments
- Negotiate, underwrite, accept and renew business within personal risk acceptance authority
- Review pricing of products and portfolio with actuary in achieving sustainable and profitable growth
- Provide advice on product coverage and underwriting intention
- Provide product training to business units
- Develop risks acceptance guidelines
- Ensure risks are accepted and underwritten in accordance with company guidelines
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulatory provisions and Group policies as are relevant to the role
- Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification and professional insurance qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in roles involving the underwriting and product development of Personal Accident and Travel insurance with strong focus on Corporate Group PA and Group Business Travel.
- Demonstrated success in designing and managing regional or global insurance programs is highly desirable
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., actuarial, business units, operations) to drive product innovation and market growth
- Retail, Motor, GPA and GBT Insurance product development, underwriting, pricing, and claims
- Digitalization savviness
- Portfolio Management
- Knowledge of distribution channel structure
- Singapore Insurance market
