JOB SUMMARY
The Manager/Senior Manager, Community Partnership is responsible for driving the Organisation’s fundraising strategy and deepening partnerships with grant makers, donors, and philanthropic stakeholders. The role oversees the full spectrum of fundraising activities, including campaigns, donor engagement, grant applications, impact reporting, and compliance. Working closely with senior leadership and programme teams, this role ensures financial sustainability and alignment with SHINE’s mission to serve children and youth, especially those who are vulnerable or at-risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Strategy and Campaigns
- Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan aligned with organisational goals and funding priorities
- Plan and execute fundraising initiatives such as giving campaigns, charity events, appeals, and donor drives
- Identify new fundraising opportunities through networks, platforms, and partnerships
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, setting KPIs and reporting on targets
Grant Management and Fund Reporting
- Identify, pursue, and secure relevant grants from government bodies, foundations, and institutions
- Prepare compelling grant proposals in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Coordinate the timely submission of progress reports, budgets, and impact reports to grantors
- Track utilisation of restricted funds and ensure compliance with grant requirements
Donor and Stakeholder Engagement
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners to encourage long-term support
- Coordinate appreciation efforts, including impact updates, donor recognition, and events
- Maintain an accurate donor and funder database for relationship management and reporting
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with programme, finance, and communications teams to gather stories, data, and financials for fundraising and reporting
- Represent SHINE at donor meetings, philanthropic events, and sector engagements to promote visibility and credibility
- Align messaging and branding of fundraising collaterals with SHINE's communications strategy
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure all fundraising and grant activities adhere to the Organisation’s internal controls, the Charities Act, and fundraising regulations
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for audits, board reporting, and regulatory submissions
Team Leadership
- Guide and mentor junior staff or volunteers supporting fundraising and grant functions
- Contribute to building a culture of donor stewardship and results-driven fundraising across the organisation
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director or senior leadership to support the organisation's development goals.
Other Duties
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer, Director or Executive Director to support organisational needs and priorities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in fundraising, grant writing, or partnership development, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and public presentations
- Proven ability to develop and maintain donor or funder relationships
- Familiarity with fundraising regulations, charity governance, and financial reporting
- Strategic thinker with hands-on experience in execution and collaboration
- Proficiency in CRM or donor management systems is an advantage

- Brand-aligned Messaging for Fundraising – Ensuring fundraising materials are consistent with the organisation’s communications strategy and brand identity.
- Mentorship and Team Supervision – Guiding junior staff or volunteers involved in fundraising activities and promoting a results-driven culture.
