About the job
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Market Research Executive to join Bitsmedia (makers of Muslim Pro) on a maternity cover basis. This role supports ongoing research efforts that inform product development, marketing strategy, and strategic partnerships. You’ll play a key role in ensuring continuity of user insights, competitor benchmarking, and performance monitoring during the maternity leave of our current executive.
This is a maternity cover from August – December 2025.
Key Responsibilities
1. Competitor & App Intelligence Analysis
Track and interpret app store performance metrics such as downloads, category rankings, keyword trends, and organic vs. paid growth
Benchmark competitors’ app strategies and identify market opportunities across key regions
2. Survey Design & Data Analysis
Draft and distribute surveys to understand user behavior, preferences, and product-market fit
Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights and findings
3. Stakeholder Communication
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Marketing teams
Translate insights into clear, structured reports and presentation slides for internal and external stakeholders
Support key initiatives and partnerships with research-driven recommendations
4. Usability Testing & User Research
Recruit users for remote and in-person usability testing sessions, including new and revert Muslim users
Prepare testing scripts, moderate sessions, and synthesize findings
Report on UX pain points, feature comprehension, and content resonance
Qualifications
Prior experience with market research, user research, or competitive intelligence in a tech/app environment
Familiarity with platforms such as data.ai, Sensor Tower, AppTweak, or similar analytics tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill data into compelling insights
Experience with survey tools (e.g. Typeform, Google Forms)
Basic skills in Google Sheets/Excel, and experience interpreting dashboards or analytics reports
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience preparing slide decks and executive summaries
Good To Have
Background in mobile apps, fintech, lifestyle platforms, or Islamic digital spaces
Understanding of Muslim user behavior and Islamic digital products is a strong plus
