We are seeking a visionary Marketing Director to lead its marketing team and drive brand growth across all channels. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, engage target audiences, and achieve ambitious revenue goals. The Marketing Director will play a key role in shaping Sunnystep’s brand narrative while ensuring alignment with the company’s core values of comfort, sustainability, and science-backed design.
You will also be responsible for:
- Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and oversee the execution of an integrated marketing strategy to achieve business objectives, including revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Define Sunnystep’s brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Monitor market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to inform strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership to align marketing efforts with overall company goals.
- Brand Building and Campaign Development
- Lead campaigns that highlight Sunnystep’s unique value propositions—comfort, sustainability, and style—while appealing to target audiences such as young working adults.
- Plan and execute brand-building initiatives, including influencer collaborations, partnerships, and community outreach.
- Develop creative concepts for seasonal campaigns (e.g., Christmas gifting, back-to-work promotions) and new product launches.
- Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Support
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including paid search, social media, email marketing, and SEO, to drive online traffic and conversions.
- Partner with the E-Commerce Director to optimize digital campaigns and improve online customer experience.
- Leverage data and analytics to track ROI and refine strategies for digital channels.
- Retail Marketing and Foot Traffic Growth
- Develop strategies to increase foot traffic and conversion rates at Sunnystep’s retail stores.
- Plan and implement localized marketing initiatives, including in-store events, promotions, and activations.
- Ensure marketing efforts support both online and offline sales growth seamlessly.
- Content Creation and Storytelling
- Lead the creation of compelling content for social media, blogs, videos, and other platforms to communicate Sunnystep’s story.
- Emphasize themes of optimism, sustainability, and functional style in all content.
- Ensure all creative assets adhere to Sunnystep’s updated verbal and visual brand guidelines.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze marketing performance metrics, customer feedback, and campaign results to identify growth opportunities.
- Present regular updates and insights to the leadership team, offering actionable recommendations.
- Utilize tools like Google Analytics, CRM systems, and marketing dashboards for data tracking and reporting.
- Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Manage external agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
We would want to speak with you if you are / have –
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in consumer lifestyle brands is a plus.
- Strategic Vision: Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels.
- Brand Expertise: Strong understanding of brand development, storytelling, and consumer behavior.
- Digital Savvy: Deep knowledge of social media, performance marketing, SEO/SEM, and analytics platforms.
- Retail Marketing: Experience driving foot traffic and sales in physical retail locations is highly desirable.
- Creative Leadership: Ability to inspire teams and oversee the development of engaging creative campaigns.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. MBA or advanced marketing certifications are a plus.
