We are hiring an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and manage MEP system upgrade and retrofit projects. The role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, complex engineering developments across commercial, healthcare, cleanroom, and infrastructure environments.
This is a 1-year contract with an optional 1-year extension , offering stable engagement for candidates with proven technical and leadership capabilities in mechanical systems and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage full lifecycle of engineering projects from planning to closeout.
- Oversee project design development, budgeting, tendering, procurement, and execution.
- Review and coordinate technical drawings, schedules, and contracts.
- Lead commissioning and handover processes, ensuring compliance and quality.
Stakeholder & Site Coordination
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations, codes, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and progress reviews.
Technical & Operational Excellence
- Review RFI, RFQ, and VO submissions and ensure technical accuracy.
- Manage QA/QC processes, testing and commissioning documentation, and safety plans.
- Implement continuous improvement through innovation and adoption of technology tools like BIM.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide engineers and site teams. Facilitate training for stakeholders and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical and MEP project management.
- Strong track record in delivering complex projects such as data centres, hospitals, labs, or infrastructure.
- Excellent knowledge of Singapore building codes, authority requirements, and safety standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and BIM software.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Possession of safety-related certifications (e.g. Risk Assessment, WAH Supervisor, SCAL Project Manager Safety Certificate) is advantageous. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
