Role Summary and Impact
The Planning Manager is a pivotal role within the Local Team, responsible for driving media campaigns across all channels, with a specific focus on luxury watch & jewellery & luxury automotive brands within the local market. This role directly impacts client success by leading end-to-end media planning and strategy, ensuring innovative, data-driven solutions, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost guarantees. The manager will build and maintain strong relationships with local clients and internal teams, contribute to award-winning work, and continuously optimize campaign effectiveness through a deep understanding of the digital landscape. Ultimately, this role is critical for delivering best-in-class client servicing, fostering client satisfaction, and contributing to the overall growth and reputation of the organization within the luxury sector.

In this role, your goals will be: In three months:
- Begun to develop relationships with the key day-to-day team – Local clients, internal teams including performance/Nexus teams and key media partners.
- Have a clear understanding of locally defined media thresholds and sufficiency exercise, target reach by brand/product campaigns.
- Have a clear understanding of the day-to-day implementation and reporting cadence agreed with the local clients.
- Cross function management, especially with internal specialist teams through collaboration & strong communications skills
In six months:
- Responsible for end-to-end client servicing and planning for brand campaigns and leading the weekly connects with client.
- Build strategy based on insights and determine channel selection for media campaigns accordingly.
- Innovation led thinking – Propose ideas with help of partners and internal teams which are first in category / industry and are award worthy.
- Rigor in setting and tracking campaign KPIs. Ensure effective and accurate optimisation and delivery of performance utilising all relevant internal teams, agency processes and tech.
- Understanding of full-funnel synergy and ensuring cross-utilisation of audience from brand campaigns to subscriptions campaigns and measuring the success.
- Contribute to the annual planning in H2 2025, to build strategic response to the annual KPIs briefed for Brand (eg: IS/ROAS etc)
In 12 months:
- Ensure that client servicing is best in class and does results in good feedback from client during bi-annual ratings.
- Ensure cost guarantees are met wherever committed.
- Ensure client is kept up to date on the media landscape, providing necessary media information and updates and competitor reports.
What you’ll bring:
- Developing innovative and effective media and communication solutions in response to client briefs in Search, Social & Programmatic
- Ensuring precision targeting, accuracy, and timely output across the portfolio.
- You will have a strong point of view on the digital landscape and client performance, and will be comfortable presenting new, innovative thinking to clients.
- Your success will be measured through success in team engagement with local clients/teams & impressive feedback scores from clients and year on year delivery against targets.
Minimum qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in communication or media or business management (post-graduate/masters preferred)
- At least 5 years in media planning experience or related field required.
- Understands Digital media thoroughly and has a good understanding of Search, Social media, to be able to develop integrate media strategies.
- Familiar with the local media landscape and luxury consumer trends / media behaviour.
- Knowledgeable about and experienced with the concepts, approaches and issues involved in tactical media planning.
- Familiar with the timelines, processes and needs of the implementation of all media.
- Knowledgeable about new approaches to and developments in tactical planning
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to make decisions and use critical thinking.
- Knowledge and use of various research systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, formulations and Presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Capability to operate effectively in a dynamic, adaptable, agile environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage diverse conversations with various stakeholders. (internal and external)
