Under guidance, to prepare and deliver the Outfitting engineering deliverables required for the
assigned project effectively and efficiently according to specified technical requirements and
timelines. To independently review Fabrication yards and suppliers' drawings and ensure they
comply with several project regulations & requirements (Industry Standards, Company's
Standards, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements).
Understands the fundamentals of FPSO features, general function of each facility / system, specific technical specifications and requirements of assigned project, Industry and Company’s Standards, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements.
With guidance, prepares Outfitting scope of work which includes Marine & Topsides Steel Outfitting Arrangements, LQ Arrangements, HVAC Specifications, Corrosion Protection, Fire Control Plan and Material Handling Arrangements.
With reference from project outfitting standard detail drawings, develops Outfitting arrangements (deck oufitting, tank access, lifesaving equipment, LQ compartment, HVAC, deck crane and flare tower arrangement, material handling arrangement etc.)
Develops simple Outfitting equipment technical specifications, calculations, drawings, data sheets, etc. specific to the assigned project and validates them with the Senior / Lead Engineer before incorporating them into the requisition (RFQ) document.
Prepares and monitors Outfitting equipment tag numbering list and weight control list.
Evaluates technical bids received for simple Outfitting equipment from suppliers and performs Technical Bid Evaluation process to ensure the selected supplier meets the technical and delivery requirements as stipulated in the technical specifications.
Provides technical assessment to the Buyer who will follow up in the tender evaluation, price negotiation and award process.
Works with Senior / Lead Engineers in reviewing Fabrication yards and suppliers’ drawings and documents to ensure the Outfitting items are engineered and designed for construction reliability and practicality.
Attends Factory Acceptance Tests for simple Outfitting equipment to ensure the equipment functions as per specifications. Where necessary, liaises with the supplier to rectify outstanding technical issues and ensure the completed equipment comply with the specifications and delivered on time.
Works with Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer to provide measures to resolve technical issues related to the deliverables. Liaises with equipment suppliers on technical / engineering aspects.
