The Pharmacist will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and effective management of pharmaceutical products across our operations in Singapore. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Unimed’s Quality Management System (QMS), maintains employee training and compliance records, oversees controlled substance management, and provides product substitutions to meet customer and operational needs while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical supply environment (international experience a plus).
- Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree; active license to practice as a pharmacist in [relevant jurisdiction].
- Strong knowledge of controlled drug regulations and pharmaceutical compliance frameworks.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) in a regulated environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to train, mentor, and oversee staff in compliance-related matters.

Quality & Compliance
- Ensure full adherence to Unimed’s Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain all required documentation.
- Oversee controlled drug compliance, ensuring proper handling, storage, dispensing, and recordkeeping in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Monitor and review employee training records to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews related to pharmaceutical operations.
Pharmaceutical Operations
- Evaluate prescriptions and product orders, providing safe and effective substitutions when required.
- Maintain accurate records of drug procurement, dispensing, and usage which includes controlled drugs.
- Conduct regular stock checks of controlled and non-controlled medicines, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to identify equivalent products where direct supply is unavailable.
Training & Development
- Provide ongoing training and guidance to employees regarding pharmaceutical handling, QMS standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all staff involved in drug handling have up-to-date certifications and training records.
- Act as a subject matter expert on pharmaceutical compliance for cross-functional teams.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify potential risks in drug handling, supply, and compliance, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen compliance, efficiency, and safety in pharmaceutical operations.
- Stay current with regulatory updates, pharmaceutical standards, and industry best practices, ensuring Unimed’s practices remain aligned.
