What you'll do:
Ensure that all types of equipment are assembled and tested with quality.
- Manage and coordinate all in-house engineering issues encountered in VSAT Integration and Test and liaise with Product Group, Engineering and Quality team for resolutions.
- Responsible for creation of work instruction, checklist base on the test Install guide and Implementation plan provided by the project owner and solutions Engineer.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of Infinity unit/s and other value-add on equipment, including Fleet Broadband Terminal and other kitting materials.
- Build and Test Racks, Equipment and Kits to support Customers Integration and Test activities.
- Identify defects encountered during Integration and testing and escalate these issues to relevant parties for resolutions.
- Work closely with the Global Integration and Test team Managers and submit regular work reports.
- Work closely with OEMS to troubleshoot equipment, Firmware updates, extract faults log files to identify errors.
- Support ad-hoc requests for testing and configuration such as testing requests from other business units such as G2, and Enterprise.
- Alignment of Procedures with other Regions as part of Global Supply Chain team.
- Contribute ideas in improving processes to enhance quality and maximize efficiency at Integration and Testing by identifying problems or bottlenecks using LSS methodology.
- Responsible for informing new updates of firmware and software for internals partners.
- Inform the Integration and Test Team and Managers any issues encountered during testing with proper documentation. Support Returns Team on technical matters, configurations, refurbishments, repair, and resolutions.
- Close collaboration and support with Logistics and Returns as part of Supply Chain team.
- Ensure all Integration and Test equipment internally are properly maintained and in working condition.
- Support, complete and deliver tasks assigned by the Integration and Test Manager and Superior.
- Ensure that the Integration and Test area is neat and tidy and follow 5s before and after work.
- Support external Integration and Test partners on troubleshooting on hardware and software and extend remote assistance on any issue reported during in-house testing.
- Support Supply Chain activities such as goods picking and production issuance.
- Responsible for the maintenance and making sure all test antennas are operational.
- Working across Maritime, Enterprise, Government, and Aviation to understand current and future requirements, analyse and report back trends, development, possibilities and opportunities.
- Tight connection across the overall COO organisation as well as into the Product, Procurement, IT and Finance group organizations to understand and incorporate current and future requirements and strategies.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- A proven track record in Production and Engineering.
- 3+ year of experience in VSAT technical troubleshooting and resolution.
- Good in communication skills, good command of English, and strong presentation skills.
- Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems required, as well as typical office applications.
- Proficiency in Pulse and Intranet systems.
- LEAN and continuous improvement mentality, and systematic documentation mind-set.
- High working capacity. Able to do structured Reporting, Multi-Tasking, work independently and a team player.
- Able to take pressure in a fast pace work environment.
