Qualification & Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, preferred Offshore
- Min 5 years working experience preferable in offshore and marine
- Familiarity with offshore operations, as well as the design and fabrication of installation equipment and aids for SURF T&I work, is considered an added advantage.
- Must have previous experience in SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) transportation and installation (T&I) activities
- Demonstrates strong capability in planning and leading SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) transportation and installation (T&I) activities, with comprehensive knowledge of all project phases—from engineering and preparation to offshore execution and completion.
- Familiar with international offshore installation and construction guidelines and rules and regulations.
- Software – AutoCAD, MS Office
- Willing to travel, able to qualify for offshore work, and committed to going the extra mile to meet customer requirements and project expectations.
- Strong communication skills. English speaking and writing is a must
- Resourceful, independent and detail oriented
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the Project Manager in preparing technical and commercial proposals for offshore projects. This includes technical reviews, sourcing, cost estimation, scheduling, and documentation. Key Responsibilities include: -
- Prepare technical proposals and solutions aligned with tender requirements.
- Provide input on project scheduling from a technical standpoint.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive tender documents and commercial proposals.
- Support technical evaluations and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather project data and ensure alignment with scope.
- Contribute to accurate cost estimation for materials, equipment, and labor.
- Help draft proposal technical content and respond to client technical queries.
- Overseeing of project execution as directed by Project Manager or Operation Manger including contract review (technical), vendors selection, costs evaluation, liaison for internal resources and supports, reply to client technical queries, prepare technical clarifications, plan and supervise project mobilisation, project execution and implementation, plan and implementation of corrective actions, Factory Acceptance Tests and finalization of as built documentation etc.
- Reports directly to the Installation Manager or Operations Manager during the offshore installation phase, and is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient execution of mobilization and offshore activities. Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating pre-job meetings and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) with all involved parties.
- Ensuring all personnel comply with safety requirements and procedures.
- Verifying that all tasks are carried out by competent personnel in accordance with approved procedures, work plans, and best practices.
- Ensuring operations follow approved risk assessments and checklists, and that MWS Certificates of Approval (CofAs) are signed off as required.
- Providing technical support and performing field calculations as needed.
- Collecting and recording all required as-built data.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned
