Responsibilities:
- Lead, monitor and supervise daily activities, work allocation, and task prioritization within Quality Management Local (QML) Department
- Provide resources for the overall management of QML Department (Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Quality System, RoHS & Banned Substances)
- Plans and submits proposal for CAPEX & OPEX Yearly Budget
- Plan, recruit, lead and supervise Human Resource in QML Department
- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, and track progress towards achieving them
- Coordinate and execute the performance appraisal for the QML Department
- Identify and develop talent pool of staff
- Identify training and learning needs for the QML department and identify ISO training needs for the organization
- Develop systems, optimize work processes for operational excellence and drive its continuous improvement activities
- Responsible for the maintenance of Quality Modules in SAP
- Report corporate KPI reports (No. of claims, Sales Returns, etc)
- Review and approve specification / contract / quality agreement / quality manual of customers / suppliers
- Review and approve customer complaint 8D / CAR
- Review and approve Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Control Plan and Risk Assessment
- Review and approve non-conforming product disposal (Material Review Board, Engineering Waiver, Exceptional Approval Form, Return Material Authorization)
- Review and approve supplier qualifications, evaluations, scorecards
- Review monthly reports of QML team (Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Quality System, Specification Review)
- Review and approve ISO program
- Review and approve internal audit plan
- Provide guidance and strategy on all audit preparations
- Moderate all audits (ISO audit, customer audit, supplier audit, internal audit)
- Moderate customer / supplier visit and meetings
- Conduct management review of production, quality, service performance
- Conduct Training for newcomers / organization
- Implement and upkeep Safety & 5S within the Quality Department
- Support/ Backup function to the peers and superior in his/ her absence
- Support any adhoc or special assignment by the Head of Department
Requirements:
- At least 7 years related experience in a similar capacity
- Diploma or Degree Holder in Material Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Precision Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Quality Management or equivalent engineering field
- Expert with MS Office (e.g. MS Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint Presentation)
- Expert on ISO Standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and ISO Internal Auditing
- Expert with Statistical Techniques and QC Tools (e.g. Fishbone Diagram, Why-Why Analysis, 3D/8D)
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills, Presentation Skills, Supervisory / Leadership Skills, Planning and Time Management Skills
- Good leadership skills and strong team player
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Responsible, patient, detailed and result-oriented
- Open to various tasks and responsibilities
- High adaptability and flexibility to organisational change
- Experience in mechanical, geometrical, chemical testing and/or Quality Assurance environment in metal fabrication, etching or tool & die industry is an advantage
- Knowledge on SAP/WFS is an advantage
- Knowledge on Lean 6-Sigma is an added advantage
- Knowledge on IMS-ConSense is an advantage
- Knowledge on ISO 50001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage
