Quality Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.

• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer, QHSE Manager/ MR and top management to ensure that the quality policy and quality objectives are established for the quality management system and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization.

• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer, QHSE Manager/ MR and top management to ensure the integration of the quality management system requirements into the organization’s business processes.

• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer, QHSE Manager/ MR and top management in promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking.

• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer, QHSE Manager/ MR and top management to ensure that the resources needed for the quality management system are available.

• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer, QHSE Manager/ MR and top management to communicate the importance of effective quality management and conforming to the quality management system requirements.

• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer, QHSE Manager/ MR and top management to ensure that the quality management system achieves its intended results.

• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer, QHSE Manager/ MR and top management to engage, direct and support personnel to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.

• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer, QHSE Manager/ MR and top management to promote improvement and support other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility.

• Establish and maintain safe work practices and procedures.

• Ensure company and QHSE policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

• Ensure that operations within his area of responsibilities are in accordance with the QHSE policy and objectives.

• Ensure that employees are aware of the impact of their activities on the environment.

• Participate/ attend all functions, activities and meeting organized by the company.

• Perform other assignment and duties as and when required.
  

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Control, lead, develop and motivate all reports.
• Ensure the QHSE requirements are effectively developed, implemented, maintained and monitored.
• Assist the Senior Quality Engineer and QHSE Manager/ MR to monitor and report the department QHSE objectives to the management on a monthly basis.
• Ensure responsiveness to inspection requests and technical support to the team.
• Ensure all budgets and plans are met.
• Work with the team to achieve QHSE objectives.
• Maintain good housekeeping at all times.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma preferably in Quality or Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent.

• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in a Quality Inspector/ Engineer role.
