My client is a leading provider of clean and renewable energy solutions, investing in energy farms and renewable energy development projects and is seeking a strong, independent, and highly driven Business Development Director with exceptional sales capabilities to lead our investment-driven growth strategy in the renewable energy sector. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of wind and solar energy, who can drive partnerships, secure investment opportunities, and oversee project execution.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop investment opportunities in energy farms and renewable energy projects to maximize returns.
- Apply knowledge of wind, solar energy and energy storage technologies to assess viable investment opportunities and optimize returns.
- Cultivate relationships with industry players, clients, developers, and government bodies to strengthen market influence.
- Stay ahead of global energy trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies to inform investment decisions.
- Work with engineering, finance, and operations teams to ensure successful project implementation. Oversee end-to-end renewable energy project development, managing risks, feasibility, and financial performance.
Requirements
- Proven track record in business development and sales, ideally in the renewable energy or investment sector.
- Experience in energy project investment, including financial structuring and risk assessment.
- Strong understanding of wind and solar technologies and their role in energy development.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of closing deals and securing partnerships. Independent, results-driven, and proactive, with a strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced industry.
