Job Description
YOUR IMPACT _________
The primary role of the Visual Merchandiser is to work closely with the internal and external team to ensure Make Up For Ever’s visual merchandising presentations are consistent and representative of the brand’s global standards. This role must demonstrate the ability to roll out regional strategy in the assigned perimeter, take initiatives in implementing changes and manage time effectively in a growing environment.
YOUR MISSION _________
Under the lead of regional visual merchandising manager, and in collaboration with regional marketing and retail team, as well as HQ VMD team, the visual merchandiser will be responsible for:
REGIONAL VM AND DEVELOPMENT
• Accountable for VM displays at the counter level through review, validate the forecast planning from all the markets and ordering Point of Sales Material, Makeup Grids, and support local production of lightbox transparencies and regional tools for the markets
• Understand practical needs of on counter visual merchandising to maximize product exposure and to optimize sales potential, so to develop the regional product launch plan including planograms and regional animation guideline with POSM budget reference.
• Lead all installation & implementation of Visual guidelines in all stores with collaboration with the local market teams
• Co-lead the new door opening Visual Merchandising displays with the local market to propose planograms based on counter assortment and support local production if necessary. Check with the quality of the hard merchandising aligned with the standard of the brand
• Responsible to validate the forecast and the roll out plan of the new gondolas in the region, support the local markets with local production and pre-installation before shipping to each market
• Support and validate the product launch animation and events from the local markets and guide the local contractors to comply with the guideline and implement with good quality
• Compile the POS distribution, VM launch and counter opening reports for timely HQ reporting
• Occasional travelling is required to support key project implementation and market visit
• Propose in-store improvements based on competition observation
Qualifications
WHAT YOU OFFER _________
• Strong communication project management skill and being able work on multiple projects concurrently with different markets
• Diploma/Degree in Industrial/ Graphic Design or Architecture with at least 2-5 years of experience in the retail industry, experience in cosmetic industry is preferred
• Ability to work independently to plan and execute VM update and resolve problems related to VM
• Strong sense of urgency and good time management skills
• Team player and committed to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• High proficiency in Sketchup, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office PowerPoint, basic proficiency in MS Office Excel. Proficiency with IWD will be preferred
• 3D design knowledge will be a plus
