We are looking for a Research Associate, Humanoid Robotics to perform R&D in robotics towards Humanoid applications. The role will focus on development, integration and testing of advanced robotic systems that replicate human motion, perception, and interaction. This role is integral to interdisciplinary projects focused on real-world applications such as human-robot collaboration, assistive robotics, and intelligent systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and integrate hardware + software components for humanoid platforms, including and not limited sensors, actuators and control systems.
- Implement and optimize algorithms for motion planning, balance control, perception, and human-robot interaction.
- Conduct experimental validation of humanoid robotic systems in lab and real-world environments, including data collection and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary research teams, including mechanical design, AI, control systems, and cognitive robotics.
- Contribute to the preparation of research publications, technical reports, and presentations for internal reviews and external dissemination.
- Support the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students involved in related projects.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, document system architecture and experimental procedures, and ensure adherence to safety and compliance protocols.
- Assist with project management and coordination with industry + academic partners
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in robotics or closely related field
- At least 6 years of relevant experiences in technical hands-on experience in robotics and autonomous systems
- Solid understanding of robotics fundamentals including kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and mechatronics.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Linux, ROS2, Embedded platforms.
- Competent in presentation/ report writing skills and general personality traits
- Interpersonal skill and strong ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively for academic publications
- Strong teamwork demonstration in a multi-cultural environment.
