The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, driving sales performance, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing the store team. This role plays a key part in achieving business goals, maintaining brand standards, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Performance
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals.
- Monitor and analyze sales reports to optimize product mix and identify opportunities for growth.
- Implement action plans to drive sales performance.
2. Store Operations
- Oversee smooth daily operations of the store in line with company standards.
- Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and loss prevention.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and safety regulations.
3. Customer Experience
- Deliver excellent customer service standards consistently.
- Handle escalated customer queries and complaints effectively.
- Develop initiatives to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
4. People Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the retail team to achieve store goals.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to maintain high service standards.
- Plan staff schedules, assign duties, and conduct performance appraisals.
6. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and present regular sales, operations, and performance reports.
- Manage store budgets and expenses effectively.
- Ensure compliance with legal, health, and safety standards.
7. Marketing & Promotions Support
- Implement and oversee in-store promotions and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive store traffic and awareness.
- Track promotion effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail management, preferably in fashion
- Proven track record of achieving sales and operational targets.
- Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and retail hours.
