The Role
We are excited to expand Addepar’s footprint in Asia and are looking for our first Sales Engineer based in Singapore. This is a pivotal role in establishing our presence in the region, supporting our commercial efforts across Southeast Asia, and partnering closely with global counterparts. You will serve as a critical technical and consultative resource throughout the sales process, working with prospective clients to show how Addepar’s solutions can deliver transformational value to their business.
You’ll engage directly with private banks, wealth managers, multi-family offices, and institutional clients across Singapore and broader Southeast Asia. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll act as a bridge between Sales, Services, Product, Engineering, and Data teams, ensuring alignment across client needs, platform capabilities, and implementation outcomes.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with deep financial acumen, strong technical skills, and a passion for client impact. As our first Sales Engineer in Singapore, you’ll play an instrumental role in shaping go-to-market strategy, influencing product feedback loops, and helping scale Addepar’s presence across the APAC region.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a trusted advisor during the sales cycle, guiding prospective clients through the technical and business evaluation of Addepar’s platform and offerings.
- Partner with Sales and Solution teams to craft compelling client narratives and demonstrations tailored to the needs of wealth managers, banks, and asset owners in the region.
- Support and coordinate responses to RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence questionnaires.
- Design and lead tailored Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements: load sample data, model real-world use cases, and develop custom demo environments to showcase Addepar’s value.
- Help draft Statements of Work (SOW), delivery timelines, and budget estimates in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Professional Services, Implementation, and Legal.
- Awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks in Singapore and the broader region (e.g. MAS guidelines, client data handling, cross-border data transfer considerations) and ability to partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-facing language, and communicate the competitive differentiators of Addepar’s architecture, data platform, and reporting engine.
- Provide real-time feedback from the field to influence product development and roadmap priorities, especially for APAC-specific use cases.
- Build foundational sales engineering processes, playbooks, and collateral that will support future growth in the region.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in financial services or financial technology, ideally with exposure to wealth management, investment platforms, or SaaS deployments.
- Prior experience in roles such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, client onboarding, product management, or technical consulting.
- Deep familiarity with investment data, portfolio management concepts, and multi-asset class reporting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders across varying levels of technical understanding.
- A proactive, self-directed mindset—comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where you’re often building from scratch.
Comfortable working across cultures and time zones; prior experience supporting clients in Asia-Pacific is a plus. - Familiarity with technical tools such as SQL, Python, APIs, or cloud infrastructure is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor's degree required; a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is a plus.
