Sales Executive - Singapore (Domain - Shipping and Logistics)
About the RoleWe are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Executive with strong experience in the Shipping and Logistics sector to accelerate our growth in Singapore. The successful candidate will have deep industry knowledge, a solid understanding of the logistics value chain, and a passion for solving customer challenges through innovative IT services and solutions including cloud, data analytics, IoT, and digital platforms. You will help leading logistics and maritime organisations modernise their infrastructure, optimise operations, and improve customer experiences through technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new shipping, port, and logistics customers with transformation needs.
- Account Management: Drive account growth and retention by delivering high-impact solutions tailored to industry-specific use cases.
- Solution Selling: Understand operational and business pain points such as fleet efficiency, cargo tracking, warehousing, supply chain visibility, and sustainability goals.
- Partner Engagement: Collaborate with cloud providers (Microsoft and AWS), Maritime solution vendors and technology partners.
- Deal Execution: Lead sales cycles from prospecting through to closure. Work with delivery and solution teams to craft proposals and ensure successful delivery.
- Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts, leveraging CRM tools and reporting.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of B2B IT sales experience, with 3+ years in the shipping, logistics, or maritime technology sector.
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of logistics operations, port systems, fleet and cargo tracking, trade compliance, and digitisation trends.
- Solution Knowledge: Familiarity with selling managed services, cloud migration, data and analytics platforms or transportation management systems (TMS).
- Proven Sales Performance: Demonstrated success in achieving targets and managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Relationships: Network within major ports, shipping lines, freight forwarders, or third-party logistics providers (3PLs) is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, IT, or a related field. MBA or technical certifications are advantageous.
