Overview
The Sales Intelligence Manager plays a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. This individual is responsible for leveraging data to empower Sales Teams to make smart decisions & identify the most valuable opportunities to focus resources on.
Supporting trade and the Route to Consumer (RTC) agenda, the Sales Intelligence Manager works with Sales Managers / Leadership Team, providing accurate, clear & actionable insights into Sales/Distributor performance and the Customer Centricity program.
Major Roles & Responsibilities
Analyze Data & Key Performance Indicators
- Examine & monitor sales performance, trends, customer data to provide insights to drive growth, productivity, and efficiency.
- Develop, track & implement KPIs aligned with business objectives - providing measurable benchmarks to drive data-informed strategies & improvements
Deliver Insights to Drive Strategic Decisions
- Present & effectively communicate recommendations to stakeholders - influencing decisions and aligning strategies to achieve company goals
- Collaborate with the wider commercial team to develop & implement data-driven initiatives
Develop Dashboards / Intelligence Tools to ensure real-time visibility into performance
- Collaborate across departments to build, integrate, and ensure effective use of Intelligence Tools to drive data-driven decision making within Sales Teams
- Stay updated with data analytics and relevant intelligence tools advancements to ensure company is at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies to improve productivity
Provide Market and Competitor Intelligence
- Identify external headwinds and tailwinds to inform proactive strategies/measures
- Build processes to establish an information network to provide relevant and timely information
- Support the Trade Census Initiative with other Commercial Stakeholders for market data
Promote a Culture of Data-Driven Decision-Making
- Inspire, train & mentor teams in leveraging sales intelligence tools to drive customer engagement and commercial outcomes
- Optimize meetings & processes to inculcate data-driven mindset within Commercial Teams
Data Unification
- Collaborate across departments / stakeholders to aggregate, synthesize and harmonize relevant commercial data – creating a comprehensive view of performance to inform data-driven business decisions
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, ideally within the FMCG industry.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders (Managers, Leadership Team)
- Experience in presenting complex data to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
- Familiarity with technology, sales intelligence tools, data visualization platforms, and CRM systems.
- Experience in the FMCG sector is preferred, but not required.
