The Sales Manager is fundamentally responsible for the operational of the sales department and to ensure consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues for all the products. The incumbent is required to establish strong relationship with clients and potential customers through ongoing networking and key account management.
1. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop business strategies and plans to meet and exceed sales target set by the Management.
- Drive business development through acquisition of new accounts and cultivation of key accounts.
- Lead in the collection market data on market and competitors’ activities including products and pricing.
- Liaise with Business Development Director to evaluate product suitability for market including pricing.
- Conduct research of clients’ needs and satisfaction feedback to achieve the desired service levels.
Sales
- Lead and manage the sales team through the entire sales cycle process and ensure all the team members meet or exceed their monthly sales target.
- Guide and develop the members on both pre-sales and after-sales service including negotiation.
- Set sales targets for the sales team and ensure that the team achieves the target and grow the business within the assigned territory.
- Build, develop and maintain close relationships with clients, business partners and other stakeholders.
- Undertake product forecasting and trend analysis, and track inventory to ensure optimal supply chain management and disposal of “aged” inventory.
- Calculate sales commission of each sales members and submit for approval and processing.
Others
- Manage sales budget and expenditure of the sales team and ensure profitability of the business.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the CEO.
