General Purpose of Position:
The Senior Executive Officer, Strategic Finance plays a key role within the Corporate Governance team in supporting the organisation’s financial operations and governance processes. The officer is responsible for accurate financial reporting, strengthening financial systems and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and statutory requirements. The officer also supports the General Manager by providing financial insights and strategic reporting to guide organisational planning and decision-making.
Mian Duties:
- Maintain the Chart of Accounts by reviewing journal entries, general ledger postings, and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records in coordination with the finance team.
- Prepare and contribute to financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements, for internal reporting and meet external reporting requirements.
- Support financial analysis and planning activities, including budget reviews, variance analysis, Management bi-monthly reporting, and preparation of zakat financial reports.
- Assist in internal control and governance processes, including leading audit preparations, reviewing financial and procurement policies, and helping ensure compliance with risk management frameworks.
- Collaborate in reviewing and implementing procurement governance, including ensuring proper documentation, vendor evaluations, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Provide financial insights and data to support the Management’s decision-making and organisational planning efforts.
- Prepare and compute quarterly GST returns and ensure timely filing of GST returns. Maintain proper documentation and records of all GST matters.
- Contribute to improvements in financial systems and processes, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial operations.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or a Specialist Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial management, or corporate governance.
- Experience working within a finance team in a medium to large organisation is preferred. Familiar with the expectations of a Charity Organisation

Type of Skills and/or License or Certification Required:
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), GST regulations, and procurement governance.
- Familiarity with audit processes and financial controls.
- Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is advantageous.
- Professional accounting certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) are advantageous.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data accurately.
- Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to take initiative, drive improvements, and contribute proactively to team and organisational goals.
