This teaching role is in the School of Business.[What you will be working on]
As part of the role, the successful candidate is expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:
Teaching & Mentorship
Facilitate impactful and learner-centred experiences for full-time diploma (PET) and part-time adult (CET) learners.
Mentor and guide students in applied projects that build practical, industry-relevant competencies.
Curriculum & Pedagogical Development
Design, review, and enhance curricula and course materials using current pedagogical and andragogical approaches.
Lead or contribute to curriculum innovation initiatives within the PS domain.
Develop and deliver customised workshops for adult learners, drawing on best practices in adult education.
Teaching & Learning (T&L) Leadership and Support
Champion learning design approaches that blend domain expertise with learner engagement strategies.
Contribute to the professional development of colleagues through coaching, mentoring, or leading T&L-focused initiatives.
Work closely with PS domain colleagues to elevate teaching practice and student outcomes.
Industry and Institutional Engagement
Collaborate with industry partners to align learning experiences with evolving trends and workplace needs.
Participate in applied research or consultancy projects to inform curriculum relevance.
Support school-wide and domain-specific strategic initiatives, events, and competitions.
[What we are looking for]
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Law, International Trade, or a related discipline.
Strong foundation in teaching and learning is preferred, with demonstrated ability to apply effective pedagogical and andragogical practices in diverse educational contexts.
A passion for education and a proven ability to mentor and inspire both youth and adult learners.
Prior professional experience in Accounting and Finance, Law, or International Trade and Logistics, with a demonstrated ability to translate industry knowledge into meaningful educational experiences.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, with a learner-focused approach to teaching.
Demonstrated expertise in facilitating learning in one or more of the following domains:
Accounting
Finance
Law
International Trade and Logistics
