What You'll Do
Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating operations account executives and ensure support is provided to internal and external partners. Develops policies, manages operations, and plans the use of materials and resources.
Ensuring smooth onboarding, offboarding and ongoing payment network operations for selected network partners in Asia Pacific region. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to device strategies to motivate Discover network partners to comply with Discover’s network policy and, also adopt latest products offered by Discover network. Build working relationship with key operations and technology personals at key network partners.
Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.
How You'll Do It
- Manages a team including, hiring, performance, and development decisions.
- Directs and coordinates operational activities to provide premier partner support and manage escalations.
- Plans and prepare team schedules and assigns projects, tasks, and assignments.
- Monitors team performance to ensure goals and deadlines are met, company policies are followed, company initiatives are supported.
- Monitors team’s adherence to follow documented procedures and controls and raise any foreseen risks and issues to relevant teams for mitigation & resolution
- Develops procedures, assess risks, and deploy controls to mitigate any financial or regulatory risks for any newly design operational activities.
- Recommend, negotiate, and track incentive plans for network partners to adopt Discover’s products and capabilities
Qualifications You'll Need
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Business Administration and Management, Bachelors Finance, Bachelors, International Business, Bachelors Information Technology, Bachelors Communications, Bachelors Marketing or related.
- 6+ years Payments, Technology, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Communications or related
In Lieu of Education Experience
- 8+ years Payments, Technology, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Communications or related
Preferred Requirements
- 8+ years Payments, Technology, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Communications or related
- Post Graduation in business or information technology is preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Financial Industry and a minimum of 5 years in the Cards industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a people leader
- Experience of large program management and client management will be an advantage
