Purpose:
Assist Regional CFO and Regional Head of Business Development, Middle East South Asia (MESA) to evaluate existing businesses and potential investment opportunities including prospective acquisitions, mergers or joint ventures, and new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Understand market trends, research, and assess existing businesses and possible new opportunities to develop and grow the business.
- Create detailed financial models, prepare financial analysis, valuation, risk analysis and returns scenarios to evaluate investment proposals and business opportunities.
- Organise and conduct due diligence (internally, or with consultants when required) and align business inputs and assumptions for selected projects.
- Prepare business proposals for presentation to Senior Management.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of the business units in the portfolio to identify areas of value-creation, synergies and enhance returns
- Other work as necessary to successfully execute BD plans
- Work with cross-functional resources from the various business units and business development teams in various MESA countries where necessary on investment projects and studies.
- Any discipline Degree, preferably in Business or Finance/Accounting.
- At least 5-7 years working experience in Corporate Finance / Business Development / Portfolio Management role with proven track record and experience in building financial models (preferably of major investment or infrastructure related projects in ports/logistics space).
- Team player with proactive and result-oriented personality.
- High energy, enthusiastic team player, confident, mature with high sense of direction.
- Motivated self-starter, good articulation, enjoy challenges.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Good business acumen and international business mindset.
