It’s been our mission to Serve the World Flavor since we first opened in 1994, and we’re just getting started. 1997 saw the opening of our first brand partner operated Wingstop location, and by 2002 we had served the world one billion wings. It’s flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing brands in the restaurant industry.

Wingstop in APAC is currently present in Indonesia and Singapore with a total of 70 restaurants and expanding in the region. We have just launched South Korea in January 2023, while a pipeline of Brand Partners is being nurtured for new market entry in Australia, China, Japan and Thailand from this year. These are exciting times in our international growth, and we are looking for a talented Operations and Training professional to enable our expansion in the APAC Region.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
The key areas of focus and priority are to support our existing Brand Partners in Indonesia, Singapore and Korea, drive our new market entry efforts in Thailand (and beyond) and provide functional leadership for innovation, regional and global projects:
Support our existing Brand Partners
- Conduct regular restaurant visits within the region following an established “operational pathing” to validate success routines for guest experience, food safety and sanitation, food quality, facility management, people development and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with and influence Brand Partners to safeguard proper brand standards regarding Wingstop Way (Culture), effective restaurant operations, guest experience, food safety, adherence to approved ingredients from approved vendors, and implementation of training programs for restaurant management and team members.
- Subject matter expert for WRI operations programs and KPIs (ie. SMG, QSC, BSC etc). Lead and drive improvements in such programs within Brand Partner’s organization to deliver on targets through regular engagement, measurement of KPIs and action planning.
- Act as the liaison between Brand Partners, APAC team and GSC for training programs to ensure successful cascade and continued sustainment.
- Provide effective coaching, training, and education as well as people development know how to drive consistent improvements in Brand Partner’s business and operations performance through the Wingstop Way.
- Facilitate business planning and review process to drive results within Brand Partner organizations in areas of sales trends, labor, COGS, profitability, guest experience as well as people development and training through tracking and focused action plans.
- Support Brand Partners with analyzing their business opportunities and areas for improvement while executing short- and long-term business plans.
- Support Brand Partners to plan for and set up successful NROs through smart people planning and driving training competencies.
Manage NROs documentation and administrative requirements to ensure alignment.
Drive our new market entry (NME) efforts
- Support the operations and training aspects of NME workstreams. Working closely within APAC team and collaboration with GSC.
- Provide operational support for PMA.
- Support completion of all training materials (applying market nuances) prior to commencement of in-market training.
- Facilitate the analysis of training materials that requires translation and work with Brand Partner to validate translation accuracy.
- Provide guidance on BOH layout and operations flow.
- Facilitate the setup of SMG, QSC accounts for BP within WRI system.
- Collaborate with BP and GSC on market training plan and timeline.
- Lead/support in-market training with GSC Ops team to set market up for successful launch.
Functional leadership for innovation, regional and global projects
- Partnership with marketing and supply chain to provide operations counsel in developing new menu items, and adaptations for local market preferences.
- Partnership with GSC team to test and qualify new equipment and small wares.
- Collaboration across regions and with Global Support Centre in Dallas.
- Share/promote best practices across regions/markets to lift the overall Ops performance of BPs.
- Lead training and people development strategies for the region.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Food Service or related field, MBA preferred.- At least 6-8 years’ experience in regional operations and training or related field.
- Intermediate technical skills in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to develop, analyze and negotiate business agreements.
- A role at a major restaurant chain, or hotel chain in operations and training.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate at a high level across multiple functions.
- Demonstrates leadership experience in one or more of the following areas: Operations, Training, People Management, Restaurant Audits, New Market Launch.
- Should show a strong understanding of how operations and training can transform business growth.
- Strong foundation in hands-on leading operations across multiple markets with proven track record of results.
- Working knowledge of restaurant financials, training programs cascade, coaching and driving action plans to achieve targets.
- Should have experience leading QBR’s across markets with know-how on global brand systems and processes.
- Experience at drafting/articulating an Operations Performance Improvement and Training strategy.
- Vast experience in project management leading complex projects, a project management certification a plus
- Exercise a startup mentality since some new markets will require a very tactical hands-on approach.
- Strategic thinking: some developed markets will demand complex manpower and training solutions that are scalable and sustainable.
- Job requires APAC region travel time of between 25%-50% and some occasional travel to other regions.
