[What the role is]
Established in 2001, the Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) vision is to build a nation of healthy people. We aim to empower residents in Singapore to attain optimal health, increase the quality and years of healthy life, and prevent illnesses, disability and premature death. To achieve this, HPB drives national health promotion and disease prevention programmes, spearheads health education initiatives and creates a citizen-centric approach where healthy lifestyle options are integrated and accessible to promote healthy living every day.[What you will be working on]
To support the Board’s goals, the Integrated Outreach (West) Division works closely with the community, healthcare partners and social service agencies to co-create regional and community-focused solutions, and ensure a good coverage and sustainable delivery of health promotion initiatives within the community.
Key initiatives include Active Ageing, Physical Activity, Nutrition, Substance Abuse and Mental Health. These initiatives cover the general population, as well as targeted segments such as ethnic communities and underprivileged groups (such as lower-income families).
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is essential in strengthening our community engagement initiatives and managing partnerships, with a specific focus on supporting lower-income families. The incumbent will partner key stakeholders in identifying the opportunities to implement and support initiatives for a healthier living environment, especially for the lower-income families with young children. He/she will also foster strategic and sustainable partnerships to build a healthy ecosystem and integrate health promotion into social service delivery.
SCOPE OF WORK WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Partnership & Outreach Events Management
Collaborate with key partners to co-develop and implement targeted outreach events to the segment group
Incorporate HPB health promotion content and key messages that resonate for the targeted segment
Develop and adapt health-related materials and engagement resources for the collaborating stakeholders (e.g. community and social service partners) to facilitate smooth execution of the targeted outreach activities
Coordinate and provide operational support (e.g. logistics coordination) to the internal and external stakeholders during event implementation
Design a systematic approach to partnership and relationship management and maintain strong relationships with them to deepen the partnership.
Data Management
Track and evaluate key performance indicators including reach, participation rates (e.g sign-ups) and referrals
Prepare qualitative and quantitative reports on outreach effectiveness and outcomes of the initiatives
Outreach Support
Support the planning and execution of outreach events
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment of outreach activities
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach initiatives
Provide operational support for special projects and initiatives as required
[What we are looking for]
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant working experience for at least 2 years
A good understanding of partnership development and relationship management. Ability to network and build strong collaborations with stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and versatility in managing different levels of partnerships
Strong organisational and project management skills; good multitasking skills but with attention to details
Ability to work independently and with teams
Passion to serve, particularly in the community setting
Prior experience in the healthcare sector or social service workspace will be an advantage
