Responsibilities
- Provide home-based and centre-based occupational therapy services for children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine and gross motor difficulties, and self-care skill deficits.
- Conduct standardized assessments and prepare comprehensive reports to support diagnosis and intervention planning.
- Design and implement individual and group therapy sessions to address motor coordination, sensory integration, daily living skills, and school readiness.
- Collaborate closely with caregivers, educators, and other professionals to develop and monitor individualized intervention plans.
- Maintain open and supportive communication with families and stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and progress tracking
Qualifications and Traits
- Possess a recognized Degree or Master’s in Occupational Therapy from an institution accredited by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Hold a valid practising certificate with full registration from the AHPC.
- Applicants for Senior Occupational Therapist roles should have at least five years of experience working with children with developmental needs.
- Demonstrates a heart to serve and a passion for working with children and families.
- Strong sense of initiative, integrity, and the ability to work independently in both home and centre settings.
- Flexible, adaptable, and open to different perspectives and approaches in therapy.
