Responsibilities
- Provide home-based and centre-based occupational therapy services for children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine and gross motor difficulties, and self-care skill deficits.
- Conduct standardized assessments and prepare comprehensive reports to support diagnosis and intervention planning.
- Design and implement individual and group therapy sessions to address motor coordination, sensory integration, daily living skills, and school readiness.
- Collaborate closely with caregivers, educators, and other professionals to develop and monitor individualized intervention plans. Maintain open and supportive communication with families and stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and progress tracking
Qualifications and Traits
- Possess a recognized Degree or Master’s in Occupational Therapy from an institution accredited by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Hold a valid practising certificate with full registration from the AHPC.
- Applicants for Senior Occupational Therapist roles should have at least five years of experience working with children with developmental needs.
- Demonstrates a heart to serve and a passion for working with children and families.
- Strong sense of initiative, integrity, and the ability to work independently in both home and centre settings. Flexible, adaptable, and open to different perspectives and approaches in therapy.
