DESIGNATION : Senior Producer/Producer, Current Affairs (Money Mind) 1 yr contract
RESPONSIBILITIES
Money Mind is the channel's flagship weekly personal finance TV programme. It currently airs every Saturday at 8.30pm, and is also available on YouTube, meWatch, and VOD. You will join a team of producers, and contribute to the overall output for the show.
Responsibilities include:
- Generating story and series ideas about how people grow, save and spend their money
- Responding to breaking news that impacts everyone's wallets
- Sourcing for impactful profile stories
- End-to-end production - conceptualisation, scripting, producing and packaging stories for TV and digital platforms in the first instance, as well as other platforms like print, Instagram, TikTok from time to time
- Producing other content that supports the programme, which could include forums and panels, social media promos, web content, public outreach sessions etc
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements :
- Degree in relevant discipline
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to make sense of financial concepts, and to break them down into jargon-free and easy to understand language for the layman
- Sound understanding of developments and impact on business and general news
- Editorial judgement to grasp the news point in a story
- Organised and self-motivated
- Ability to work in a team
