Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Senior/Systems Engineer to support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure across projects. This role involves working with servers, networks, and systems to ensure reliable performance, system hardening, and compliance with service-level agreements. You will also troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to continuous service improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain operational systems, ensuring alignment with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance and operational tasks in a timely and effective manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and technical reports.
- Diagnose and rectify technical faults across infrastructure systems and components. Participate in standby/on-call duties when required, including off-hours support for critical systems.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Unix/Linux OS, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a logical, analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches is an advantage.
- Familiarity with hardware such as servers, SAN, and NAS devices.
- Experience in OS/system/network hardening and patch management.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure services such as:
o Active Directory (AD)
o DHCP/DNS
o Exchange or Mail Services
o Databases
o Web or Application Servers
Preferred Attributes:
- Proactive, dynamic, and detail-oriented with a commitment to service excellence.
- Good organizational and documentation skills to ensure system records are accurate and accessible. Prior experience supporting infrastructure in a project-based or mission-critical environment is advantageous.
