We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with deep expertise in App Engine to lead the design and development of scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This is a hybrid role that balances hands-on development with technical leadership—ideal for someone ready to elevate their impact by mentoring junior developers and shaping platform strategy.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine Studio and App Engine Templates.
- Lead technical development efforts across complex ServiceNow solutions, including workflows, automation, and integrations.
- Provide mentorship and code-level guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to define application requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Establish coding standards and best practices across the development team.
- Perform code reviews to ensure performance, scalability, and security compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex platform and integration issues, delivering effective resolutions.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including design specs, runbooks, and user guides.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong experience in ServiceNow App Engine development
- Certified ServiceNow Application Developer and at least one Implementation Specialist certification (e.g., ITSM, App Engine, or CSM)
- Involvement in at least 2 full-cycle ServiceNow implementations
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow’s scripting frameworks
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring development teams
