Responsibilities
- Configure, modify, and maintain security rules across enterprise firewalls including Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and FortiGate.
- Manage Network Address Translation (NAT) configurations and firewall policy updates
- Conduct firewall policy clean-ups to ensure optimal performance and maintain audit compliance
- Collaborate with internal teams for change management processes, ensuring changes follow security protocols and organizational standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex firewall and network security issues with a methodical and analytical approach
- Exposure to tools such as Algosec, Kibana, Grafana
- Exposure to automation scripting using Python and API integrations
- Minimum 8 years firewall operations and/or management role
- Proven hands-on experience with enterprise firewall platforms: CheckPoint, Palo Alto, and FortiGate, VPN Technologies, DNS, NTP, 2 Factor Authentication technologies.
- Strong knowledge of firewall policy management, NAT concepts, and change control procedures
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-availability network environments.
- Deep understanding of security best practices, threat mitigation, and compliance frameworks
- Certification: CCSA, CCSE, PCNSE, ITIL Foundation preferred
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to work independently or as a team player.
