Position Overview
The Strategic Purchasing Assistant provides administrative and operational process improvement to ensure the efficient operation of the Purchasing Department in order to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes
Area(s) of Responsibility
- Maintain and update purchasing processes and procedures
- Maintain vendor management and qualification
- Monitor, review and audit supplier’s reliability
- Generate reports
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of inventory records with suppliers’ reference data
Essential Functions
- Coordinate with purchasing team and update workflows and procedures
- Assist and update vendor’s ratings (review/corrective actions, etc)
- Assist and update trade referencing checking
- Assist in generating specific supplier and internal reports
- Support the purchasing team with administration duties, where applicable
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Traits
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- No experience required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiar with AI features
- Outstanding customer service skills
