As Technical Service Specialist – Dairy & Beverage, you are part of our APAC Application & Technical Services Team and will play a key role in providing technical support to our customers in ASEAN, India, and ANZ with a key focus on the Dairy & Beverage Food category.
The key purpose of the role is to partner with sales to accelerate the business growth of Tate & Lyle Asia Pacific in the Dairy & Beverage Food category

We’re looking to recruit a Technical Service Specialist – Dairy & Beverage in Singapore, reporting to the Senior Technical Services Manager based in Singapore.
The Technical Service Specialist – Dairy & Beverage leverages in-depth technical specialities to provide customised solutions, directly addressing client requirements. This role balances technical problem-solving with strategic account management, ensuring client satisfaction through tailored solutions and proactive account oversight.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead in identifying and analysing client needs for the dedicated client accounts, using specialist technical knowledge to recommend and shape product solutions that enhance customer operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams in Innovation & R&D and Sales & Marketing to guide the development of product modifications or new applications that meet specific client requirements.
- Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and presentations, explaining the science or engineering behind solutions and highlighting added value for client needs.
- Identify and pursue upselling or cross-selling opportunities within the portfolio by evaluating client needs and positioning expanded product solutions effectively.
- Ensure continuous account satisfaction through regular follow-ups, technical troubleshooting and adjustment of solutions based on client feedback.
- Support Sales & Account Management teams in reaching targets by contributing technically driven sales approaches and enhancing the overall sales approach.

This role is assigned to our Singapore office located in Biopolis (Buona Vista MRT)
What You’ll Have
Skills & Competencies:
- Solid understanding, knowledge and experience in beverage and dairy, including but not limited to ingredients, formulation, processing and troubleshooting; ability to apply this knowledge to technical solutions and translate opportunities into business impact.
- Strong communication skills to persuade and influence. The role needs to adapt styles and interpret and explain information to differing audiences from inside and outside the organisation who are not familiar with the subject matter.
- Resolves issues that are complex or unusual, requiring original thought, research, new approaches and analytical techniques.
- Provides advice and guidance through technical knowledge, research and analysis, which impact the performance of the team.
- Responsible for achieving personal targets, which can impact the overall success of the Technical Service team, part of ASEANI and ANZ.
- May oversee project delivery, including managing project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful completion.
- Strong business acumen will be an advantage to lead product development in the market and support the commercial team in winning projects.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of technical services experience in Dairy or industrial ingredients for Beverage, with a proven track record in developing solutions.
- Solid analytical skills and business acumen to drive strategic decisions which improve sales performance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally, managing relationships and executing technical services strategies in different locations across the assigned region.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and above or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
