Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define and manage overall Quarterly Refresh software/firmware deliverables (SW, SW Drivers, BIOS, EC, HW Drivers), SCIT Validation, and release schedules leading to timely Web Softpaq publication and RTM release to factories.
- Ensure alignment with System Team and cross-functional teams across SW/FW/Test solution readiness.
- Manages and maintain relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on Software applications, firmware design and Tests development.
- On Internal Oversight Engagement & Governance: Act as central point of contact between internal teams (SM, HEPM, PDM etc).
- On ODM Oversight, Engagement & Governance: Manage ODM SEPM resources and capabilities. Define engagement models, audit deliverables, and ensure ODMs meet quality and schedule expectations Collaborate with ODM SEPMs to review PRL, align on CQ POR, and track deliverables. Govern ODM execution through RACI models, SOW refinement and milestone audits.
- Specifies and documents workflows, engagement models and objectives in partnership with other WW Software and Firmware teams and ODMs.
- Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders and executives.
- Identify areas of risks and improvements to drive solutions to drive business value or reduce business impact.
- Responsible for reviewing and consolidating validation data. While QA teams generate test reports, TPMs interpret and communicate readiness status to stakeholders. (TPM)
- Support efforts to triage and prioritize 3LS issues, DCRs, and OBS cases. (TPM)
- Collaborate with quality leads and regional teams to reduce backlog and improve issue resolution efficiency. (TPM)
- Define and uphold validation governance structures, including escalation paths and meeting cadences. Ensure that validation intricacies are managed and not dictated externally, preserving process integrity.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong Program Management capability is a MUST. PMP and/or Agile certifications preferred.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Level of work experience will commensurate with job level assigned.
- Experience in overall architecture of software/firmware and interaction with hardware/software/OS designs for products and solutions.
- Experience in processes for software/firmware testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
- Experience in CI/CD and Agile or other program management know-how and in high complexity programs application.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
