My Client is a leading provider of insurance solutions, committed to innovation, service excellence, and creating value for our clients. We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven P&C Underwriting Manager to lead our underwriting team and help drive profitable growth in our property and casualty lines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a lean team of underwriting executives, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Develop, implement, and monitor underwriting strategies, guidelines, and best practices.
- Analyze underwriting results and make recommendations for improving risk selection and pricing strategies.
- Monitoring of trends against budget/target at both portfolio and segment level, Accident Year and Financial Year basis
- Escalate anomalies observed with cause-and-effect to Singapore CEO.
- Collaborate with actuarial, claims, product development, and sales teams to support business objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.
- Evaluate complex risks and provide approval on high-value or non-standard accounts.
- Contribute to training and development programs for underwriters and support staff. Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role.
- Strong technical knowledge across key lines of business (e.g., property, liability, auto, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead teams and develop underwriting talent. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
