Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement trading strategies for crude oil and refined products in alignment with company goals
- Supervise daily trading operations, including deal structuring, execution, and post-trade processes
- Monitor global market trends, price movements, and geopolitical developments to inform trading decisions
- Oversee risk management practices, including hedging strategies and exposure limits
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, buyers, brokers, and financial institutions
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, and internal governance policies
- Collaborate with finance, logistics, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless trade execution
- Prepare and present performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management
- Mentor and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in oil trading or commodity markets, with at least 10 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of trading platforms, financial instruments, and risk management tools
- Proven negotiation, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
