A well-established fine dining restaurant is seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead our front-of-house operations and support the General Manager in delivering top-tier dining experiences.
We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in front-of-house leadership , ideally in a fine dining or premium hospitality setting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented , and demonstrates a strong sense of service excellence, leadership, and team development .
Your Role:
As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently, profitably , and to the highest standard of hospitality. You will lead the front-of-house team, maintain strong customer relations, and help shape the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily front-of-house operations alongside the GM
- Manage staff during shifts, providing leadership, feedback, and motivation
- Ensure exceptional service standards are maintained at all times
- Train, mentor, and onboard new team members
- Support hiring processes, staff scheduling, and shift planning
- Uphold high standards in food, service, cleanliness, and health & safety
- Respond to customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Greet guests, manage reservations, and ensure seamless service flow
- Guide customers on menu choices, including wine and beverage pairings
- Assist with revenue tracking, budgeting, and business development
- Collaborate with suppliers and oversee inventory levels
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and special events
- Work with GM to develop strategies for improving performance and guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Read P&L and offer solutions to channel sales growth
We’re Looking For:
- At least 8 years’ experience in a supervisory/management role within a fine dining or high-end restaurant
- Strong food and wine knowledge
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Calm, composed leadership style with a hands-on approach
- Experience in shift scheduling, service coordination, and training
- A passion for hospitality and creating unforgettable dining experiences
