What you will be doing
You will report to the local/regional Operations Manager (Or Station Manager). The position will be required to work independently as a member of the Operations team in providing a 24 x 7 customer-focused service to ensure all shipments are managed in a timely manner. This will include, among others:
1) Warehouse Operation
· Load, unload and rack/shelve of packages scheduled for pickup/delivery/temporary storage
· Check and confirm the correctness and completeness of consignments during pickups/deliveries
· Compare received materials with documentation to certify concordance or identify discrepancies
· Perform pre-pickup package preparation, specifically: preconditioning and pre-placement of packaging-materials and cooling-media; marking and labelling of shipments as per regulations
· Manage the staging and sorting areas (packaging, supplies, labels, etc) to ensure proper placement of things according to labelled areas
· Managing warehouse inventory accurately & efficiently AND maintaining required hygiene conditions (for packages and the entire warehouse environment)
2) Shipment Operation
· Process job orders, organize collection and delivery of customer shipments (with internal/external drivers), and liaise with customers, agents, carriers, and other SSI offices for other tasks
· Create, edit and maintain jobs (Exports /Imports) in the IT system
· Provide a communication link between customers and office staff reporting any customer feedback immediately to operations
What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong customer service and/or operational experience
- Experience with logistics process AND project management
- An understanding of Imports and Exports processes and statutory requirements
- Sound experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Cold Chain package handling and/or shipment management knowledge a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
