Job Scope & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Western-style dishes (e.g., pasta, grilled items, breakfast sets, sandwiches, etc.) and local-style fish soup according to café standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for all dishes.
- Handle food preparation including cutting, marinating, boiling, and grilling.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen at all times, following SFA food hygiene standards .
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Work closely with the service team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Assist in menu improvement and contribute new dish ideas suitable for café customers (local & foreign).
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Uphold food safety, minimize wastage, and practice cost control.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a cook in Western cuisine or fish soup preparation is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Positive attitude, punctual, and responsible.
