About the Role
The company is a reputable engineering and construction firm in Singapore, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented WSH Officer . This role involves leading safety initiatives across multiple sites, managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a strong Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) culture. The company operates across engineering, telecommunications, high-tech factories, and commercial projects, and is ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001 certified.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site safety teams and promote a proactive WSH culture across projects
- Develop, implement, and maintain WSH processes and management systems
- Conduct risk assessments, monitor fire protection systems, and implement preventive and corrective actions
- Investigate incidents, recommend improvements, and ensure safe working conditions
- Ensure compliance with the WSH Act and statutory requirements, liaising with relevant authorities
- Conduct regular WSH inspections, audits, and staff training programs
- Coordinate with contractors, 3rd party service providers, and internal stakeholders for safety compliance
- Prepare and submit safety reports and documentation to clients, management, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- Registered as a WSH Officer with MOM
- Relevant qualification in Workplace Safety & Health or Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a WSH Officer (Junior WSHO considered)
- Strong knowledge of WSH practices, regulations, and risk management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and drive results
