Job Responsibilities
- Ensure all projects are planned and executed safely from commencement to completion.
- Tabulate and report monthly WSH statistics from all business units to the Corporate WSH Secretary.
- Analyse statistics, identify performance trends and inform and address gaps within the WSH Management System.
- Based on WSH performance, develop an annual WSH work plan for the organisation.
- Working together with the WSH Manager, assist the Corporate WSH Secretary in executing the WSH plan.
- Monitor and report implementation of the WSH Workplan to the Corporate WSH Secretary.
- Review and improve existing Safe Work Procedures to ensure organisation compliance with the WSH Act and regulations.
- Working together with the WSH Manager, ensure all risk assessments are up to date and relevant to the business.
- Working together with the WSH Manager, review and ensure corporate WSH framework, bizSafe, and IMS processes are up to date and relevant to the business.
- Review, identify and implement control measures to close any gaps identified within the WSH Management System.
- Attend on-site safety audits.
- Assist the WSH Manager in organising and conducting the organisation-wide Annual WSH Workshop.
- Assist the WSH Manager in organising and conducting campaigns to promote WSH within the organisation.
- Any other duties specified by the Corporate WSH Secretary.
Job Requirements
- Minimal WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent (higher qualification preferred).
- Preferably with 1 year of experience in the construction industry or related field.
- Possess strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and regulations.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Able to work independently with a positive attitude under a tight schedule
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
