The successful appointee will advance MSE’s research and teaching in soft materials, colloids, and molecular self-assembly. He will contribute to the CREATE programme Proteins4Singapore through collaborative projects and integration of MSE faculty, while also developing and co-teaching postgraduate modules and jointly supervising PhD students. In addition, he will strengthen international outreach and talent exchange by leveraging his networks across Europe and Asia to promote cross-institutional collaboration and recruitment.
The successful appointee will be expected to:
- Contribute to research collaborations under the CREATE programme Proteins4Singapore, integrating MSE faculty into ongoing and future phases.
- Design and co-teach postgraduate modules, and provide joint supervision of PhD students with MSE faculty.
- Support international academic engagement through talent exchange, seminars, and outreach activities, particularly in Europe and Asia.
- Facilitate collaborations between TUMCREATE and MSE, strengthening cross-institutional research and postgraduate training.
Adjunct Faculty appointments are extended to distinguished professors or researchers with recognised expertise and strong collaborative ties with the School. Candidates are expected to:
- Possess a strong track record in soft matter, colloids, molecular self-assembly, and related nanomaterials research, demonstrated by impactful publications, high citation metrics, and international recognition.
- Demonstrate leadership in major research programmes and foster cross-institutional and international collaborations, particularly in areas of strategic importance to the School.
- Show evidence of excellence in postgraduate education through supervision, mentorship, and the development of advanced-level teaching modules.
- Contribute meaningfully to the School’s academic mission through joint research, student supervision, curriculum innovation, and international outreach.
