Provide clinical supervision and coordinate the clinical assignments of new recruits/graduates nurses. Participate in nursing initiatives and evidence-based practices to maintain quality nursing care and good patient outcomes.
Building Nursing Capacity and Capability
- Conduct ward/unit orientation and induction for new recruits/graduates
- Supervise and guide new recruits/graduates and existing nurses
- Assist the Nurse Manager/Nurse Clinician in implementation, assessment and evaluation of nurses’ competencies
- Coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate ward/unit training activities
Improve Clinical Quality and Staff and Patient Safety
- Enhance safety culture by reducing falls incidence, medication errors and needle stick injuries
- Facilitate reviews with staff on the hospital occurrence reports and ensure plans are implemented to minimise future occurrences
- Improve infection control practices and reduce risks of health-care associated infection
- Comply with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
Requirements:
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board
- Diploma in Nursing or equivalent and recognised by the Singapore Nursing Board
- Advanced Diploma in Perioperative Nursing / Anaesthesia Nursing
- Degree in Nursing
- At least 2 to 4 years experience as a Senior Staff Nurse
